Because of homophobic fan songs, Mexico has to change its next two home games in the World Cup qualifier from empty ranks. As the FIFA football world association further announced, the Mexican Association was also sentenced to a fine of 100,000 Swiss francs (94,700 euros) for discriminatory behavior of supporters. Homophobic songs has given it according to FIFA information in the previous month in home games of the Mexican national team against Canada and Honduras. The next two games – against Costa Rica (January 30, 2022) and Panama (2 February) – must therefore be held in empty stadiums. The World Cup takes place at the end of 2022 in Qatar.
