In the Bundesliga on Champions League course, in the cup only one step away from the final in Berlin: In his eleventh year as a head coach of the SC Freiburg, Christian Streich is heading for its largest coup.

The table fifth sat down in the quarterfinals with 2: 1 (0: 0) after extension when climbing VfL Bochum and first moved into the round of the last four for the second time in the club’s history.

Roland Sallai (120th) hit the last minute crucial and shot Freiburg into the semifinals. VFL Bochum wanted to “write story”

“We want to use the opportunity and continue to write history,” said VfL coach Thomas rice before the kick-off at Sky. At the last Bochum semi-final, the coach was still youth player in his birthplace Wertheim.

By contrast, the prank had reached the round of the last four with the SC – in his first complete season as Chef coach 2012/13. And already won three times the DFB Cup – with the Freiburg A-Juniors.

Penalty shootout already seemed safe

Once the guests also passed through: After a mistake of Armel Bella Kotchap, Petersen moved too early and too unplaced (38.). In the detention time Bochum was lucky that Winter Access Jürgen Locadia had not saw the red card against Philipp Lienhart (45. + 1).

After the side change Freiburg was better in the game. A shot of the strong Kevin’s pity Bochum’s final manuel Riemann could ward off, but right in front of the feet of Petersen, who brought the guests in leadership.

Polter recalled an original flank from Elvis Rexhbecaj by head to compensation. In the extension, everything already indicated on the penalty shootout, when Sallai used a mistake of Maxim Leitsch.
