“A young striker who is of course not yet finished in his development, but who is greed and hunger for the day. It is exactly what we are relying on at the MSV in the future,” says Managing Director Ralf Heskamp, the new sign Phillip König in the press release in front.
With Orhan Ademi (30), Moritz Stoppelkamp (35) and Aziz Bouhaddouz (35), players are already in dangerous players in the MSV squad, but the three attackers are also among the oldest players. Now a 22-year-old striker is added to King.
MSV coach Torsten Ziegner also praises König: “Phillip convinces with his willingness to learn, his commitment and his teamwork. He fits perfectly in our requirement profile.”
König played VfL Wolfsburg for four years before he joined the Kielers in 2020. For the U 23 of the North Germans, he came to 24 missions this season and scored nine goals. In the master round of the Regionalliga Nord, he and his team took third place.
