Sweep on Sweep: Bonn and Bavaria in the semi -finals

Both the Munich against the Niners Chemnitz and the Bonners against the Hamburg Towers also prevailed in the third game of their best-of Five series and moved into the second round with 3: 0 victories. Munich and Bonn are now meeting there.

The Munich team had to extend in Chemnitz, but held there with 87:80 (41:31). Nihad Djedovic became a match winner with two three in the extension. Nick Weiler-Babb led Bayern with 19 points.

Parker Jackson-Cartwright shines again

The Bonner prevailed in Hamburg with 95:88 (48:54). As in the first two games, the Bonners caught up with a half-time deficit, again Parker Jackson-Cartwright towered over: the most valuable player of the season achieved eleven of his 31 points in the last four minutes and threw his team to victory with the decisive three. For the first time since 2009, Bonn is in the playoff semi-final.

Alba Berlin and the MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg had already moved into the semi -finals on Thursday. For the first time since the 1988/89 season, all four quarter -finals of the BBL have been decided by “Sweepe” (3-0). At that time, however, two victories were enough to progress.
