Are you looking to upgrade Yelan by giving her the right gear? Well, you’ve come to the right place! This guide will discover which weapons and artifacts are set to equip the character. Genshin Impact version 2.7 is here, and it brings its share of new features, among which you will find new characters. Yelan is one of them, and we will discover how to play her through this guide.
Yelan, a DPS who also works as a Support
Before getting to the heart of the matter, you should know that Yelan is a 5-star rarity character who uses a bow and the Hydro element. You will cross paths within the Abyss area. At first glance, you will think that she is still a Hydro archer, and you are right, but she is very different from a Tartaglia. Once we have this information in mind, we can launch into the analysis of this mysterious woman.
Where the difference is easily seen is in his skill set. His ability to run while creating a line that explodes at the end of his movement and his elemental explosion allows him to deal area damage while making reactions with other characters more easily without Yelan getting in the way.
Yelan has some peculiarities that must be taken into account when playing it. First, he can enter a state that reduces the charge time of his subsequent charged shot by 80%, and once set, the fired arrow deals AoE damage. Yelan then deals damage based on her Attack, but mostly based on her maximum health.
As for the passives you have, the first one allows you to gain a percentage of Max HP based on the number of items in your gear. This percentage can reach up to 30%. The second talent allows him to play a bit more of a support role as if a die is active, the character’s damage on the ground increases by 1% then 3.5% every second, and this effect can go up to fifty%. Her third passive is much less enjoyable if you want to play her since it’s all about Liyue’s expeditions. She increases the rewards by 25% if the trip lasts 20 hours.
As you may have noticed, Yelan is a DPS, and she can play her role, but she can also serve as a second DPS, offering a bit more support to your team. You can also use it to create reactions thanks to its explosion, but in this case, it will be used only to be Xingqiu-style support, but without the option to heal.
